Welcome to the Solvang Trolley page

Solvang Trolley CO. Serving the City of Solvang since 1973

Welcome

Solvang Trolley CO. also known as "the Honen" by the locals, is a family-run company that serves the city of Solvang, CA. We offer guided tours on a horse-drawn carriage around the town, as well as private services. The tradition started in 1973 when Hans Rasmussen founded the trolley company, which continues today under the operation of HORZES, a family run company involved in equine matters.

About the tours

Discover Solvang, the Danish capital of America in a unique way! A horse-drawn tour is a unique way of experiencing the town, enhancing the illusion of being inside a Hans Christian Andersen storybook. During the tour, you will learn about the origins of Solvang, events happening throughout the year, the best bakeries and restaurants, and the best sites of Danish architecture. Our hosts are happy to answer any questions and give directions during your visit, and our trolley and beautiful Belgian Breed mares provide an exellent spot for unforgettable pictures. In other words, if you didnt ride the trolley, you didn't come to Solvang!

Notifying Visitors of Site Enhancements

Another idea for my home page's text is notifying visitors about the enhancements I put on my site. For example, I want visitors to sign my guestbook or fill out my survey Form E-mailer to answer questions about my site, my business, or my site's topic.

Where to board

Our Trolley stop is located at the intersection of Second St. and Copenhagen, right next to the visitors center In Solvang, CA. We operate on Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the winter and early spring, starting trips at late morning. We run two trips every hour.

Behind the Scenes of My Home Page

Even if I don't put much text on my home page, it's a good idea to include hidden tools that will help me promote my site, so people other than my friends and family actually see it. For example, I could add meta tags, which are hidden codes that allow search engines to find my site. I could also install stats and a counter so I know how many people are visiting. If not many are visiting, submitting my site to search engines will guide more traffic to my site.
